To bring relief to those losing sleep...
"I have deliberately set the stories in reverse order of internal events because of the relative discovery of the episodes by Watson. The first happened during the period of Holmes's apparent death, whilst Watson learned of the second after Holmes's return. Here then, for the first time ever, are the earliest records of Sherlock Holmes."
New Sherlock Holmes Adventures, Ed. Mike Ashley.
So he's not dead. HE'S NOT DEAD! That's why he could "die" in the first of two volumes, because he's not actually dead.
Now, Blake, you can finally sleep, buddy. Thanks for sharing my pain, man. Thanks.

Today was so much fun!
Got up early and went with Mama to West Jefferson's Farmer's Market and listened to the Ashe County High School Pans and Cans Steel Drum Band (bruda rocks those cans!).
Let's see, after watching bruda at the Farmer's Market, me and Mama went to the high school to pick up our chicken dinners, a fundraiser that the band has every year.
Daddy helped run the grills. (Daddy's the one in the black and tan shirt, and the gloves covered to the knuckles in chicken marinade.)
After picking up our dinners and Daddy from the school, and after making a pit-stop at Walmart, we drove over to Nanay's house so Mama could give her her Mother's Day rose bush and eat the dinners together with her. We visited for a while and then went back to our house. Me and mama stopped by an antique store on the way and I found another Sherlock Holmes book to add to my collection- $3. About 4 o'clock, about two hours after getting home from Nanay's, we went to Mamaw's house so Daddy could give her her Mother's Day rose bush and we hung out there for a while, until it was time to go to the Mountain Music Jamboree, where bruda was playing another pans and cans performance.
Most of the night, well, while the band was playing, us Pollards were in the very back cuttin' the rug....just to let you know. We had a blast, a very silly, very fun time, full of silly dancing and lots and lots of laughing.
We've had a long day, with just about two hours to sit at home. But I wouldn't have it any other way.
Well, till next time...

Yesterday's lunch
consisted of (you're not going to believe this):
two Nature Valley granola bars, a thick tomato san'wich, half a Buffalo Wrap from Famous Anthony's, a Vanilla Creme donut, a fudge ice cream bar, and a little after that, a meal from Chic-fil-A, complete with chicken tenders, fries and a drink.
This coming from the girl who eats half a san'wich and is full.

blogged this instead of emailing to my boss
I feel like I'm out of control and not doing a good job. I feel like I'm not doing good, that I'm in over my head. I turn in paperwork, I feel like it's not right or not completed or somethings wrong with it. Or I haven't turned it in because I don't know to or when to or who to. I haven't got a clue what I'm doing. I want to just tell you to call me when you get a referral for a Beh. Spec. and find another job until then. I don't feel like I'm good at this job. This is not my strong point, even my interest. I don't want to be doing this job. I don't like it. I'm not good at it. I struggle doing it. I'm not accomplishing anything. God did not design me to sit in front of the computer for hours doing paperwork. He just didn't make me that way. I'm the type of person who likes to be on top of things and I feel so overwhelmed by paperwork that I feel weeks behind. I probably am. And I should know if I am or not, right? I don't have a clue whether I'm late turning things in or if I should be stressed about getting something finished by a certain time or day. I don't like this job. I suck at this job. I can't pretend to know this job. I have never sucked at a job more than this one. I've never felt so left behind at a job more than this one. It's over my head. Call me when you get a referral for the job I actually interviewed for. The one I'll be good at. Yeah.

hard knock life
Pieces of this may seem personal and embarrassing to some of you so be advised and close this window if you don't think you can be mature about it.

My life has got sucky the past two weeks.
I had a yeast infection for about 4 days, I had two days of peace (ironically, over the weekend) and then came the bladder infection for two days then a kidney infection for two days...so far. I'm still battling the kidney infection.
I'm crying all the time. I'm so exhausted and so frustrated from being sick so long with so many different things that I just cry. Just cry.
In the words of the Skipper, "...but why does everything happen to me?!"
